Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is not only the third largest island in Australia, but it is reportedly also the third most recognised tourist icon in Australia behind the Sydney Harbour Bridge and  Uluru.

Kangaroo Island is known for its rugged, untouched landscapes and pristine sandy beaches, astonishing Australian Wildlife and world class dining and beverage experiences.

Whilst Kangaroo Island is known for its tourism, Agriculture is the backbone to Kangaroo Island’s economy as the biggest industry on the island. Since it was first settled in 1836 Kangaroo Island has been predominately a wool producing area.  However over time there has been some diversification into other mainstream enterprises of beef, lamb and Cropping.

Kangaroo Island provides many great services for all members of the family from the Kangaroo Island Child Care to the Kangaroo Island Community Education which provides schools in three towns of the island, The Island also provides a full medical clinic and hospital with visiting specialties regularly.
